Site Assessment

S4JK will visit your site and conduct a full initial assessment, checking boundaries and adjacent properties where possible. A site assessment is essential whether it’s for a private property, brownfield, commercial or industrial site to determine the extent of the infestation.

The assessment will include:

  • a full walk over the entire site
  • a site plan and photographs indicating where the invasive weed is situated
  • inspection of the neighbouring properties/land to identify problem areas
  • recommendations for current maintenance schedules
  • history of past treatments and how development plans might affect the treatment
  • risk assessment

Management Plan

Once the site sssessment has been carried out, a management plan will be produced, containing:

  • an evaluation of the infestation and the objectives of management
  • recommended control options
  • control actions and the risks associated with those actions
  • advice on how to prevent Japanese knotweed spreading on site
  • a treatment schedule
  • a full breakdown of the treatments available and associated costs
